Chiropractors and Medical Doctors

CHIROPRACTORS AND MEDICAL DOCTOR RELATIONSHIPS

Do medical doctors refer chiropractors? Yes, there are many obstetricians, pediatricians and family doctors referring patients for chiropractic care as they see the benefits of spinal adjustments. They recognize that this is out of the scope of their practice. Medical Doctors also are careful when referring a Chiropractor as they want to ensure that their referral is a chiropractor who can “help”?
Why is there Medical Doctor Objection to chiropractors? The simple problem is that chiropractors and physicians simple don’t communicate. At Tannenbaum chiropractic we have acquired the latest digital X-Ray technology which makes it even easier for us to communicate with your primary care physician.
Are chiropractors anti-medical doctors? NO, Dr. Tannenbaum recognizes the important role that a medical doctor plays in your family’s health and believes in a team approach. When you, your son or daughter needs medical attention, that’s where we will encourage you to go. Chiropractic care has many, many valuable benefits in maintaining health, but we recognize the importance of your primary care physician in also maintaining your health.
Are chiropractors anti-drug? The body has an amazing ability to heal itself and we recognize that a body that is functioning properly will not need drugs. There are thousands of cases where patients have been able to drop their drug usage with the help of chiropractic treatments. We are not anti-drug; BUT the decision to use or discontinue medications or over-the-counter drugs is between the patient and their primary care physician.

Why Tannenbaum Chiropractic? We are here to “help” and with over 25 years treating spinal and neck injuries, our Beverly Hills Chiropractic office has earned the respect of many family care doctors and medical specialist in Los Angeles. Tannenbaum Chiropractic receives many referrals from UCLA, Cedar Sinai and USC medical centers and reason is because we are different. The office is different, our approach is different, and when you are here it is all about YOU!
Dr David Tannebaum is a Beverly Hills Chiropractor with over 25 year serving the Beverly Hills Los Angeles Community.

ARE YOU PROACTIVE OR REACTIVE

“Aware, compassionate, conscious, receptive, sensible, sensitive, acknowledging, alive”

Are you Proactive or Reactive when it comes to your health?
  • Proactive people regularly schedule appointments, even when they’re not in pain, with the overall goal of maintaining good health. They are proactively taking preventative measures to keep themselves in tip-top shape.
  • Reactive folks come to see us when they’re in pain and want relief. They’re reacting to an uncomfortable issue or symptom
Being called “Reactive” doesn’t feel too nice does it? Let’s look at some other definitions of the word “Reactive” - aware, compassionate, conscious, receptive, sensible, sensitive, acknowledging and alive.

Yes it is true that proactive folks are those that come in on a regular basis typically end up healthier, happier and with far fewer issues health problems; but many of these “proactive” folks didn’t start off gung-ho frequent chiropractic maintenance aficionados. Their first visit to the chiropractor was “Reactive”, they had pain and needed help.

Being a “Reactive” individual isn’t a bad thing; you are reacting to pain in your body and we can help. We will listen to what you tell us, do a complete examination and through chiropractic, acupuncture, massage and a little coaching, we will help you feel better. In fact you will feel so much better that you will continue to come in even when you are not in pain, to maintain your good health.

AND WE WILL HELP!
And want to know something cool? You will become “Proactive” when it comes to your health and you will feel really good.

See you soon,
